4th Generation Boy Groups


Stray Kids

Stray Kids is a Kpop group composed of eight members formed by JYP Entertainment. The group includes members Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin, and I.N, and debuted on March 25, 2018, with the debut album ‘I Am Not’ and its title track, ‘District 9.’ They were created through the 2017 reality show ‘Stray Kids.’


ATEEZ

ATEEZ is a Kpop group formed by KQ Entertainment, which debuted on October 24, 2018. Along with their debut, they released their debut EP ‘Treasure EP 1. All To Zero.’ The group consists of eight members, including Hongjoong, Seonghwa, Yunho, Yeosang, San, Mingi, Wooyoung, and Jongho. Over the years, they emerged as one of the most popular Kpop groups, topping various Kpop music charts!


The Boyz

The Boyz, also known as ‘Cre.kerz’ before, was formed by IST Entertainment. This 4th gene idol group debuted on December 6, 2017, with their debut EP ‘The First’ and its title track ‘Boy.’ The Boyz consists of 11 members, including Sangyeon, Jacob, Younghoon, Hyunjae, Juyeon, Kevin, New, Q, Ju Haknyeon, Sunwoo, and Eric. As the group competed with other Kpop groups in the entertainment industry, The Boyz managed to create a name for themselves, further imprinting their presence and building a strong fandom.


ENHYPEN

ENHYPEN is a 4th generation Kpop group created on the TV show ‘I-Land.’ Enhypen is a seven-member boy group formed by Belift Lab (from HYBE) and CJ ENM. The group consists of Jungwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, and Niki. They debuted on November 30, 2020, with the EP Border: Day One.’ ENHYPEN recently released their first full-length repackage album ‘DIMENSION: ANSWER,’ which topped global music charts and received the spotlight from overseas media outlets.


Tomorrow X Together

Tomorrow X Together or TXT for short is a 5-member boy group under BIGHIT Music. Beomgyu, Taehyun, Yeonjung, Hueningkai, and Soobin are included in the group. With the EP ‘The Dream Chapter: Star, they debuted on March 4, 2019. With their talent and excellent performances, they captivated global Kpop fans and continue to prove that they are one of the representative 4th generation idol groups!


OMEGA X

Formed by Spire Entertainment, OMEGA X consists of 11 members, including Hangyeom, Jaehan, Hwichan, Sebin, Taedong, Xen, Jehyun, Kevin, Junghoon, Hyuk, and Yechan. OMEGA X's members had previously appeared on survival shows or debuted in other Kpop groups before. In June 2021, they debuted with their EP ‘Vamos.’ Then, on September 6 of the same year, they released their first single album, ‘What’s Goin’ On,’ which topped Kpop music charts and occupied Kpop news updates of different media outlets. On January 5, OMEGA released their latest EP, ‘Love Me Like.’


4th Generation Girl Groups


IVE

IVE is a girl group composed of six members, namely Leeseo, Gaeul, Yujin, Wonyoung, Liz, and Rei, under Starship Entertainment. They made their debut in December 2021 with their debut single ‘ELEVEN.’ In fact, members Wonyoung and Yujin are from the disbanded Kpop group IZ*ONE. Right after their debut, IVE managed to win on 11 music shows with their debut single, ‘ELEVEN,’ which occupied Kpop breaking news on the internet and various media outlets. As of now, they’ve just finished their debut activities.


STAYC

STAYC is a 4th gen girl group under High Up Entertainment, which debuted on November 12, 2020. It consists of six members, namely: J, Yoon, Isa, Seeun, Sumin, and Sieun. The group debuted with their single album ‘Star To A Young Future.’ After their debut, they released hit songs such as ‘STEREOTYPE’ and ‘ASAP,’ which ranked on Kpop music charts. STAYC became very popular in South Korea as the group was formed by the famous producer Black Eyed Pilseung.


ITZY

ITZY is a Kpop group formed by JYP Entertainment. The members are Yeji, Lia, Chaeryeong, Yuna, and Ryujin. ITZY debuted on February 12, 2019, with their first single album, ‘It'z Different.’ They released various hit songs that captured the MZ generation Kpop fans, such as ‘LOCO,’ ‘Mafia In The Morning,’ Swipe,’ ‘DALLA DALLA,’ and more! In fact, ITZY is really one of the most popular 4th gen groups today for their stage presence and unique concepts, plus the members’ lovely charms!


AESPA

SM Entertainment’s 4th gen idol group AESPA will surely be on this list! AESPA is a 4-member group consisting of Winter, Karina, Giselle, and NingNing. On November 17, 2020, they debuted with their debut single ‘Black Mamba,’ which made their way to stardom. They released the hit song ‘Next Level’ and ‘Savage,’ which Kpop fans loved a lot. Also, members Karina and Winter are selected to be on SM Entertainment’s project girl group ‘GOT The Beat.’


Weeekly

Under IST Entertainment, Weeekly also emerges as one of the popular 4th gen idol groups today! They debuted in June 2020 with their EP ‘We Are.’ Their way to stardom started when they released their hit song ‘After School,’ which occupied various Kpop music charts and news. Weeekly consists of seven members: Soojin Lee, Jiyoon Shin, Monday, Soeun Park, Jaehee Lee, Jihan, and Zoa. In fact, at the 2021 ‘Asia Artist Awards,’ Weeekly won the ‘New Wave Singer Award,’ proving their undeniable presence in the Kpop industry.
